Dr. JOHN D. FAVORITE IV was born into one of America's oldest and most wealthy families.  However Dr. Favorite found that life in the sixth and seventh generations of the family of America's first millionaire Johan Jakob Astor (1794) and having his family name linked prominently with the fur trade was not a boon to his growing businesses and came to the attention of emerging environmentalists of the time who he respected and adopted many of their beliefs and efforts to protect same.  (No endorsements are express or implied on this page). 

 

Therefore Dr. Favorite asked for and received his inheritance as one of the heirs to the family fortune and set about as quietly as his family to launch a business empire that is privately owned and a sole proprietorship and has been gathering a global conglomerte though his name appears on none of his businesses by way of Holding Companies, located on 6 continents, employing more than 160,000 men and women at fair wages in 189 countries.  Mr. Favorite is formally educated in Law, Jurisprudence, Medicine, Education  and is a Master of Business Administration and, perhaps, is one of the world's most fervent advocates of human, civil and social rights . 

 

Dr. Favorite has chosen to keep his organization private because of his ownership of banking and Holding Companies in the four corners of the earth and in between.  No public or private interests have been invited to invest or share title. The John D. Favorite Organization remains after 36 years a sole proprietorship.  Virtually none of the companies Dr. Favorite owns is aware of his ownership.  His holdings include Banks and Holding Companies, Hospitals, Law Firms, other professional organizations, Automobile Franchises, Local Telephone companies, alternative energy surces such as "wind farms" and hydro-electric plants, Farms, Islands, traditional  Real Estate, Casinos, Four and Five Star Hotels, Fisheries, Canneries, Rice Mills, Clothing Manufacturing and institutions of higher learning which offer tuition free education in developing countries and various and sundry things such as retail establishments sellings groceries to Yachts, manufacturing from clothespins to weapons and military ordnance, Pharmaceutical companies, several airlines and myriad taxi cab and other public transportation companies and travel agencies.

 

Dr. Favorite is a very successful private litigator and while semi-retired and he travels quite often, his public appearances are very few and far between.  This is difficult when he takes on litigation but he has a special role of examination of witness and summations and usually sits third chair where he can retain a measure of anonymity. 

 

In August of 1986, after having built an 11-figure empire,  Dr. Michael Grace III, himself a successful attorney in Latin America and a friend of the family, was named President and CEO of The John D. Favorite Global Group of Companies S.A. de C.V..  Dr. Favorite, Chairman, created the the administrative JOHN D. FAVORITE ORGANIZATION appointed a Board of Directors, each of which who serves a 3 year term unless asked to stay by the Chairman,  composed of some of the best known "captains" of Industry.  It would be more accurate to desribe the Board as a group of highly successful men and women who are associated with some of the world's largest and most profitable companies yet, they, themselves are not yet "household names" or public figures. 

 

The commonality is that each one owes Dr. Favorite a great debt of gratitude for assisting them and their respective organizations "when times were rough."  Each individual represents a continent or large geographical region.  During the past 20 years Dr. Favorite and his Board of Directors have agreed on the purchase of shipping companies, railroads, government contracts from any country that accepted their offer, as well as other enterprises that have become so successful that the size of the the John D. Favorite Global Group of Companies has grown ten fold and though privately held might be one the largest organizations in the World. 

 

Above all else Dr. Favorite and The John D. Favorite Organization is a patron and major contributor to human rights organizations, without a political bent and is co-founder of Christian Latin America, S.A. de C.V., a Latin America-based and one of the largest societies of Christian missionaries in the world, half of which were dispatched for as long as two years to help the survivors of The Banda ache Tsunami in Southern Asia from Vietnam to Somalia. 

 

Finally the John D. Favorite Organization is also a Philanthropic Foundation and makes anonymous gifts from a few hundred dollars to Billions of dollars each year.  During fiscal year 2003-2004 total donations to individuals, enterprises and countries in the wake of disasters amounted to $6.235 Billion USD.

CHRISTIAN LATIN AMERICA, S.A. de C.V. is a missionary and relief society with 3,300 missionaires in all countries of Latin America from Tijuana to Tierra del Fuego to San Juan, Puerto Rico and among Hispanics in between. Why? Because it was a good place to start.  The society was born on June 12, 1970. 

 

Dr. Favorite was waiting for a scheduled, commerical flight in Mexico City which was postponed for eight hours during a very heavy rain storm.  The Reverend Doctor Lawrence W. Felker, Ph.D., Reverend Alejandro Saenz Cortez and Presbitero Manuel Eugenio Ortiz Martinez, also scheduled for the same flight sought refuge in a V.I.P. lounge at the invitation Dr. Favorite after he had heard their animated conversation about their hopes and dreams for a missionary and relief society for the 3rd world and emerging countries of Latin America which geographically situated and unlucky enough to evade  large disasters such as the 9.5 earthquake in Chile in 1960.  So impressed by these servants of God and their hopes and dreams predicated on faith in Christ Jesus, Dr. Favorite, a lifelong Christian, offered total funding for this venture which today, can count on total funding from The JOHN D. FAVORITE FOUNDATION and the kind donations of those who wish to see this kind of enterprise go forth doing the work of God.

 

CHRISTIAN LATIN AMERICA, S.A. de C.V. is present in every state where its work is allowed in Latin America.  With 102 Warehouses full of necessities in time of disasters located in every country, island and atoll in the geographical area, there is never a need to move airplanes loads of relief more than 100 kilometers to the remotest regions.  It functions as a bastion of relief in time of calamity and is Bible believing and Bible teaching.  It is in no way affiliated with any church, is non-denominational and apolitical.  Promotion is typically from within because new missionaries who spend 11 months in Trinity University with three campuses in North, Central and South America normally spend 5 years thereafter working in their home countries among their countrymen before being sent to work in other socities.  CHRISTIAN LATIN AMERICA, S.A. de C.V. is responsible to Jesus Christ and the Word of God which is its guide.

 

Dr. Favorite has many interests and travels often but he often remarks that he left his heart in Latin America with the men and women who are CHRISTIAN LATIN AMERICA, S.A. de C.V. and therefore he makes many trips to visit missionaries on the job.
